Born from the mat. Built through discipline.
Rooted in over a decade of jiu-jitsu experience, the head coach of a leading Barcelona gym set out to create his first line of activewear. Together, we developed a visual language that fuses the discipline of Japanese tradition with the intensity of modern gothic design.
Through bold black-and-white contrasts, deep crimson accents, and intricate illustration work, the collection captures a world where strength meets art. Where every piece tells a story of balance, movement, and mastery.
Visual System
The visual system blends bold black-and-white contrasts with deep crimson accents and detailed illustration work, echoing the flow and control of jiu-jitsu itself. The result is a striking balance of strength and artistry — a brand that feels disciplined, grounded, and unapologetically powerful.
Through the Pain Collection
The Through the Pain rashguard and training shorts embodies the core philosophy of the brand — strength through discipline. Designed in deep black with bold gothic lettering running down each sleeve, it creates an unmistakable presence on the mat.
The vision was to create a jiu-jitsu brand that felt like an extension of the practice itself: thoughtful, balanced, and deeply connected to its roots. We wanted every visual element to reflect the mindset, rhythm, and precision that define the discipline.
Drawing inspiration from Japanese art and gothic design, we developed a visual world of contrast and symbolism. Rich in illustration and typography, the identity celebrates duality, strength and stillness, tradition and modernity, simplicity and detail.
Web & Digital Presence
As a new brand emerging from Barcelona’s jiu-jitsu scene, Protect Your Neck is taking its first steps toward building a strong online presence and visual identity. The goal was to create an aesthetic that feels authentic to the discipline — raw, honest, and rooted in respect — while standing out in the modern combat sports space.
This first collection sets the tone for the brand’s direction: merging fightwear functionality with storytelling and visual edge, designed for practitioners who live and breathe the art.

Protect Your Neck’s first collection marks the beginning of a brand born from the mat — a fusion of tradition, artistry, and modern fight culture. Drawing from Japanese tattoo and woodblock art, the collection features a hand-illustrated tiger: a symbol of courage, focus, and perseverance — values that define every roll and every fighter.
